ohlhaut.de - The name and its history

The origin of the name is yet unknown. An ancestor chart compiled by Konrad OHLHAUT extends back to the year 1646 and states:

Ohlhaut
The name OHLHAUT first appears in the form OHNHAUS resp. ÖLHAUD in the Heidingsfeld marriage register of the year 1646. Apparently, the Wolfgang OHLHAUT mentioned therein moved into Heidingsfeld prior to his marriage.
